Settings Overview
The Settings screen in the ErgZone app is your control center for customizing your experience. Here, you can adjust key preferences, including your heart rate display, benchmarks, and other essential settings.
This FAQ article will guide you through each option on the Settings screen, ensuring you get the most out of your ErgZone experience.
To access the Settings screen, follow the steps below:
- Open the ErgZone app
Tap on the Settings icon
Update Profile Information
ErgZone allows users to update the following information on the app:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Country
Gender
On the ErgZone app:
- Tap the Settings icon (the gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
- Scroll to the "Email Login" section.
- Tap the "Edit Account" button.
- Provide your email to authenticate.
- Provide the code sent to your email.
Update your information.
- Tap the "Save" button.
Advanced Setting
You can enable/disable the Live Data Broadcast and the Rolling Start Check in the Advanced section.
Broadcast Live Data
ErgZone allows athletes to broadcast their real-time data to other app users via the Live Dashboard. That option is enabled by default but can be disabled in Settings.

Display Rolling Start
ErgZone checks for a rolling start at the beginning of intervals and adds an indicator to the Workout Screen, Results page, and screenshot.

Heart Rate
ErgZone allows athletes to connect their heart rate monitors directly to the app, including but not limited to Garmin, Polar, Apple Watch, and Whoop.

Benchmarks
Keep a record of your last (PB) Personal Best 500m, 1k, 2k, 5k, 6k, FTP, Max Watts, and SPI.
ErgZone app uses the information provided on Benchmarks to calculate suggested pace and watts.

ErgZone app: Sign Out
- Go to Settings (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
- Scroll until the "Email Login" section
- Click on the "Logout" button.
How To Check the Account Signed-in
- Open the ErgZone app.
- Click on Settings (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app)
- Scroll to the "Login" section
Check the username displayed in the message "Connected as: "

Adjust Weight or Weight Class
- Go to Settings (the gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
- Scroll to the "Weights" section.
Concept2 Users:
Weight Classes (HWT and LWT) are used when uploading a result to the Concept2 Logbook. Ensure the information is correct, as it will affect Concept2's row workouts ranking.
Connect ErgZone to Logbook
To upload your workout results from the ErgZone app to the Concecpt2 Logbook website, you need to sign in on the app with your logbook account.
If you are using the ErgZone app as a Guest, follow the steps below:
- Open the ErgZone app.
- Click on the Settings icon (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app)
- Scroll to the Concept2 Login section.
- Click on the "Connect to Logbook" button.
- Provide your username and password and click on the "Login" button.
- Click on the green button "Approve ErgZone" to authorize ErgZone to use your account to upload results.
All done.
Your workout results will automatically be uploaded to the Logbook when you finish a workout using the ErgZone app.
