Metrics: Heart Rate (HR)

HR Colors (Zones)

Colors represent Heart Rate Zones as follows:

  • Grey: Bellow 60%
  • Blue: 61-70%
  • Green: 71-80% green
  • Orange: 81-90% orange
  • Red: 91+ red

The rings' colors represent time spent in each zone and are ordered clockwise.

The zone you spend the most time in is the one that starts at the 12-hour mark.   While working out, your current zone will be displayed thicker (bold).

Can I customize my HR zones?

Not at this moment.

Display Heart Rate Percentage (HR%)

When Max Heart Rate is present, ErgZone will display HR% during and after a workout.

Updating Max Heart Rate

ErgZone will calculate your HR% based on the Maximum Heart Rate provided on your profile Settings. To update it, follow the steps:

  1. On the ErgZone app
  2. Go to "Settings" (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
  3. Scroll to the Heart Rate section and provide your MAX Heart Rate.

Do not set a Resting Rate unless you want ErgZone to use the Heart Rate Reserve formula to calculate your HR%.

Displaying HR instead of HR%

ErgZone will calculate and display your HR% based on the Maximum Heart Rate provided on your profile Settings.

If you prefer to view HR instead of HR%, remove the MAX Heart Rate from Settings. Here is how:

  1. On the ErgZone app
  2. Go to "Settings" (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
  3. Scroll to the Heart Rate section and provide your MAX Heart Rate.
  4. Remove the MAX Heart Rate data.

Hide the HR Column.

Don't use a Heart Rate monitor during a workout?

No problem. You can hide the HR information. Here is how:

  1. On the ErgZone app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon on the top left of the ErgZone app).
  3. Scroll to the Heart Rate section.
  4. Toggle Display Heart Rate

Heart Rate Reserve

Note: Your HR% will be calculated considering the Heart Rate Reserve formula if you set a Resting Heart Rate
