Crew: ErgZone Groups

ErgZone Groups streamline erg training for coaches, handling tasks such as setting up workouts, calculating paces per interval, and collecting data. This allows coaches and athletes to concentrate on performance rather than spending time on these administrative tasks, eliminating the need for setting up workouts on the erg, manually calculating interval paces, coxswains collecting data after each session, and coaches entering data post-workout.

Coaches

  • Organize training schedule by creating workouts using a calendar view on a computer.
  • Set target pace (i.e. 5k + 10s) based on athlete's benchmarks 500m, 1k, 2k, 5k, 6k, Max Watts, FTP or SPI.
  • Set target rate, rest, and notes per interval/split. 
  • Experience live updates on every stroke of the athletes by following them on ErgZone Live.
  • Access data that the erg monitor doesn't display
  • Setup a TV or projector to display live data during a training session
  • Immediately have access to the whole crew splits and interval data after each workout. 
  • Export workout results data into a spreadsheet file.
  • Access to a workout summary
  • View notes provided by the athlete for each workout result
  • Can turn every workout into a live race

Athletes

The App

  • Configures the erg with the specified workout (Concept2 ergs).
  • Computes and displays real-time differential pace and rate based on Coach's programming.
  • Monitors Heart Rate Percentage (HR%) and Stroke Power Index (SPI).
  • Tracks Peak Force during the workout.
  • Reads Heart Rate data from Apple Watch or PM5 (when using a belt).
  • Automatically generates a Leaderboard per workout when configured by the coach.
