Who Can Use Fundraisers on ErgZone
ErgZone Fundraisers are designed for organizations that want to combine athlete participation and fundraising within the ErgZone platform.
This section explains who is eligible to run a fundraiser and what is required before a fundraiser can be created.
Eligible Organizations
Fundraisers on ErgZone are available to:
- Non-profit organizations running fundraising events
- Event organizers hosting fundraising competitions or challenges
- Clubs, teams, or groups raising funds through structured workouts and events
All fundraisers must be connected to an approved Stripe account.
Stripe Requirements
To run a fundraiser on ErgZone, the organization must have:
- A Stripe account approved by Stripe
- Eligibility to receive donations through Stripe
- The ability to connect the Stripe account as a Connected Account on ErgZone
ErgZone uses Stripe to process all donations seamlessly and securely.
ErgZone Involvement
Fundraisers are created in coordination with the ErgZone team.
Before launch:
- The organization must contact ErgZone to initiate the Stripe connection
- ErgZone verifies the Stripe account and fundraising eligibility
- ErgZone sets up the fundraiser and associates it with the appropriate events
Athlete Eligibility
Athletes participate in a fundraiser by registering for the associated ErgZone event (competition or group).
There are no additional fundraising requirements for athletes beyond event registration and participation.
Supporter Participation
Supporters do not need an ErgZone account to donate.
They access the fundraiser through a shared link and select an athlete to support during the donation process.
