Reporting Results Manually

You can manually report your results for any workout—whether it’s part of a training plan, a group, or a competition.

Manual result entry is useful when:

  • You’re using a machine that isn’t compatible with the ErgZone app
  • You weren’t able to connect the ErgZone app to your ergometer during the workout

How To Report Manual Results

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the ErgZone app.
  2. Find the workout you want to report
  3. Tap “More” (three dots on the top-right corner of the workout card)

  4. Click on the button "Add Manual Result"

  5. Select date & Time
  6. Select the erg type (machine) used on the workout.

  7. Provide the details for each split or interval. Note: to report only the total meter and distance.
  8. Tap on the "Send Result" button.

Report Totals Only

In some cases, entering detailed splits can be time-consuming or unnecessary.

This is useful when:

  • You completed the workout, but didn’t follow the exact interval breakdown
  • You don’t have the split data available
  • You’re short on time and want to log the overall result

If you prefer to report only the total meters and time:

  1. Uncheck the “Report Intervals” option.
  2. Select the date & time
  3. Select the Erg (machine) used.
  4. Provide the Total
  5. Tap "Send Result"

Reporting Results Manually on a Competition

For competitions, the ErgZone app requires athletes to upload one or more screenshots of the ergometer monitor as proof of their result—similar to the example shown below.

Here’s How It Works:

  1. Follow the steps mentioned above to open the workout
  2. Tap the screenshot placeholder image

Select an image or take a photo of your monitor screen

    • If it’s your first time uploading, you might need to grant the app permission to access your camera or photos.

  3. Select an image or take a photo of your monitor screen.
  4. Tap the "Keep" button or "Undo" to retake or select another.

  5. Tap “Send Result”

For Concept2 Users:

The number of screenshots varies based on the number of workout intervals, and the app knows how many are required to display all the data from the PM5 on the screenshots.

The result will be pending until the event organizer approves or rejects the data entered.

Once approved, the leaderboard will be automatically updated.
