FIT Workouts
ErgZone allows users to track workouts that are not done on an ergometer, those are classified as FIT workouts.
Create a workout from the ErgZone app
- Open the ErgZone app
Tap the "Workouts" tab at the screen's bottom.
- Tap the (+) plus icon at the top right corner.
Add the workout data
- Tap the "Save" button.
Workout Data

Date (required) |
By default, the "Date" field is set to the present day. Tap on it to choose a different date. ErgZone orders workouts in reverse chronological order; the newest workouts will be listed first. |
Title (require) | The title is used to identify the workout. |
Description | The inclusion of a description is optional. Nevertheless, we strongly encourage you to use this field to describe the workout and any other pertinent details, especially when creating a workout for someone else. |
Labels | Labels play a fundamental role in the organization and categorization of workouts. Users can create and categorize labels. ErgZone offers the following categories of labels: movement, equipment, event, intensity, and others. |
Time Cap | When a time limit for the workout is provided, the ErgZone app will automatically conclude the workout upon reaching the specified time cap. |
AMRAP (available when Time Cap is selected) | The "As Many Rounds As Possible" (AMRAP) method adds a set of intervals and instructs ErgZone to repeat those intervals until the specified time limit, known as TimeCap, is reached. |

Understanding FIT Workout Scoring
When tracking workout performance, it's essential to use consistent and meaningful metrics. To assist with this, ErgZone has a comprehensive list of scores available:
- None:
- Meaning: No formal scoring will be provided for this workout.
- When Used: Typically used for non-competitive workouts or focusing on personal enjoyment or progress tracking.
- Reps (Repetitions):
- Meaning: The number of completed repetitions of a specific exercise or movement.
- Format: Integer.
- Example: 15 reps of squats.
- Rounds + Reps:
- Meaning: Indicates the number of completed rounds and the number of repetitions within each round.
- Format: Two integers separated by a space.
- Example: 3 rounds of 10 reps of burpees.
- Time:
- Meaning: The total duration of the workout, measured in minutes and seconds.
- Format: Two integers separated by a space.
- Example: 20 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Time + Reps:
- Meaning: Used when a workout has a time limit. Reports either the total time taken to complete the workout or the number of repetitions completed before the time limit expires.
- Format: Two integers separated by a space.
- Example: 15 minutes and 25 reps.
- Longest Time:
- Meaning: The maximum duration of a specific exercise or movement.
- Format: Two integers separated by a space.
- Example: 3 minutes and 12 seconds for a plank hold.
- Pounds:
- Meaning: Weight measured in pounds.
- Format: Integer.
- Example: 135 pounds.
- Kilos:
- Meaning: Weight measured in kilograms.
- Format: Integer.
- Example: 61 kilos.
- Meters:
- Meaning: Distance measured in meters.
- Format: Integer.
- Example: 500 meters.
