Organizers: How To Setup a Competition on ErgZone?

Initial Process

Send an email to support@erg.zone with the following information:

Competition Name
Registration fee (in US dollars)
Country your bank is located and only required for the first product setup on ErgZone.
Rules include all information participants need to know before registering for your event, including but not limited to:
- Competition dates
- Categories, for:
  - age groups
  - weight class
  - any other
- Prizes
- Proof of results information (if needed)
- Deadlines
- Dates when workouts will be released
- etc

Setup a Stripe Connected Account

During the setup process, if this is your first time selling on ErgZone, we will send you a link to create Connected Account on Stripe.

On that link, you will provide details of your individual/business banking account information,

If your account is in the US, you may be required to complete additional information for tax purposes.

The following categories are already built-in; if you think you need a different group, just let us know:

Age

Registration Form

ErgZone offers two ways to register athletes for a competition: simple or custom form.

Simple Form

ErgZone integrates with Concept2 Logbook allowing our system to receive some basic information about athletes as follows:

Name
Date of Brith
Gender
Country

Because of that, depending on the competition categories, ErgZone can place athletes in the correct categories without any input from them.

When selecting which age category an athlete belongs to, ErgZone will choose the one based on the athlete's age when the first workout is released.
For example:

Jane Doe DOB: February 17, 1982
Competition age categories: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

Scenario1:
Competition start date: February 15, 2022
Jane Doe will be placed in the age category 30-39 as she will be 39 years old when the competition starts

Scenario 2:
Competition start date: February 20, 2022
Jane Doe will be placed in the age category 40-49 as she is 40 years old when the competition starts

Custom Form

ErgZone can present a custom form with extra fields if the competition requires information not provided in Concept2 Logbook.
