Adding Notes to a Workout Result
You can add notes to your workout results to record how a session felt, highlight key details, or keep reminders for future reference. Notes make it easier to track progress and reflect on your training.
From the ErgZone App
You can add or edit notes to your results directly from the app once a workout is completed.
- Open the ErgZone app.
- Tap Workouts
- Click to expand the result.
- Click on the "Notes" field.
- Tap the note
- Tap "Save"
💡 Tip: Include details like how the session felt, what drag factor or pace you used, or anything to remember for next time.
From the Web Admin
If you have an active ErgZone subscription, you can also add or edit notes to your results directly from the Web Admin.
- Visit the ErgZone Web Admin
- Sign in
- Click on the group name in the Menu.
- Click on the "Workouts" tab.
- Click on the workout.
- Click on the result to view details.
- Click on the Notes area.
- Type the content
- Click on Save.
Notes added here will sync automatically and appear in your workout history inside the app.

Visibility Options
When adding a note, you can choose whether it will be visible to others in your group or private.
- If “Notes visible to everyone” is checked, coaches and other group members can view it.
- If unchecked, the note will remain private and only visible to you.
Permissions
- Only the athlete who completed the workout can add or edit notes.
- Coaches and admins cannot add comments to results (yet).
- If your note is marked as visible, your coach or group admin may be able to view it through the Web Admin.
Why use notes?
Notes help keep your training data meaningful.
They enable both athletes and coaches to track progress, capture the feel of sessions, and identify areas for improvement.
For example:
- “Felt strong today — next time try 2 more strokes per minute.”
- “Struggled to hit target splits after 15′, might need to adjust warm-up.”
