Athlete Participation in Fundraisers
Athletes participate in ErgZone fundraisers by taking part in an associated ErgZone event, such as a competition or group. Their workouts and meters are tracked automatically and contribute to the fundraiser.
This article explains what athletes need to do and how their participation is reflected in the fundraiser.
How Athletes Join a Fundraiser
Athletes join a fundraiser by registering for one of the events associated with the fundraiser.
There is no separate fundraiser registration for athletes. Once an athlete is registered for the associated event, they are automatically included in the fundraiser.
Completing Workouts
Athletes complete workouts through the ErgZone app as they normally would for the associated event.
- Workouts must belong to the associated competition or group
- Only workouts completed during the fundraiser’s active dates are counted
- Meters are recorded automatically by ErgZone
How Meters Are Counted
For each athlete:
- All meters completed in the associated events are totaled
- Meter totals are calculated per athlete
- Meter progress is updated in real time throughout the fundraiser
Meters completed outside the associated events or outside the fundraiser dates are not included.
Athlete Visibility in Donations
Once registered:
- The athlete appears in the list of participants on the fundraiser page
- Supporters can select the athlete they wish to support when making a donation
Athletes do not collect donations themselves and do not receive individual donation links.
