World Rowing Super60 Singapore Powered by ErgZone

World Rowing Super60 Singapore consisted of 60 total activations, including the launch event, the Super60 Finals, and multiple community activations in between.

All activations were built around one standardized challenge:

Row as far as possible in 60 seconds.

Across every activation — from #1 through #60 — ErgZone provided the scoring systems, data capture workflows, and leaderboard infrastructure that ensured consistent and comparable results.

This article focuses strictly on the technical role ErgZone played throughout the Super60 project.

A Consistent Technical Workflow Across All 60 Activations

World Rowing Super60 Singapore included:

  • The Launch Activation
  • Multiple community activations across Singapore
  • The Super60 Finals, held during the Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival 2025

Each activation used the same ErgZone-driven technical structure to maintain uniformity.

ErgZone’s Technical Components for Super60

1. Standardized Activation Setup

Every activation followed the same consistent process using ErgZone.

Participants registered on their own smartphone or on a device provided by the event team. After registering, their profile was then used on the organization’s phone, which was already logged into ErgZone and mounted on the ergometer for that activation.

This setup ensured that:

  • Each participant was correctly identified.
  • The organizer’s device on the rowing machine was linked to the correct participant profile.

Results were automatically assigned without manual entry.

During the 60-second attempt:

  • ErgZone captured the meters rowe.d
  • The result was transmitted immediately
  • The leaderboard updated automatically

This workflow ensured accurate identification, consistent data capture, and seamless integration across all 60 activations — including the launch and the Super60 Finals.

2. Individual Activation Leaderboards

Each activation automatically generated its own leaderboard.

These allowed organizers to:

  • Review results from that specific activation.
  • Validate participants
  • Display rankings in real time

Each leaderboard acted as both a standalone record and a contributor to the full system.

3. The Master Leaderboard

ErgZone created a Master Leaderboard that consolidated results from all 60 activations, including:

  • The Launch Activation
  • All community activations
  • The World Rowing Super60 Singapore Finals

The Master Leaderboard enabled organizers to:

  • Review all participant data in one place
  • Track combined rankings
  • Filter results by activation
  • Maintain transparency across the entire project

Local leaderboards remained viewable while the Master Leaderboard provided the complete overview.

4. Supporting Qualification Data for the World Rowing Super60 Singapore

The Master Leaderboard provided organizers with:

  • Accurate performance data
  • Updated rankings
  • A complete dataset for determining finalists for the Super60 Finals

ErgZone did not define qualification criteria; it enabled the event team to make selections based on consistent and reliable data.

Technical Execution at the World Rowing Super60 Singapore Finals

The Super60 Finals took place on the main stage at SGUSFF 2025.

While the race itself was executed using ErgRace, all scoring and ranking responsibilities were handled inside ErgZone.

The workflow for the Finals was:

  1. ErgRace captured real-time performance data on stage

That data was exported and imported into ErgZone

    ErgZone:

    • Processed the results
    • Applied the ranking logic
    • Updated the official leaderboard
    • Provided the unified presentation of all results

By importing ErgRace data into ErgZone, the Finals remained fully integrated within the overall Super60 structure, ensuring that activation #60 followed the same result format and leaderboard workflow as all others.

Summary of ErgZone’s Technical Role Across All 60 Activations

Across the entire Super60 project, ErgZone delivered:

  • A standardized technical workflow for every activation
  • Automated participant identification and result attribution
  • Independent leaderboards for each activation
  • A real-time Master Leaderboard consolidating all 60 activations
  • Scalable infrastructure supporting dozens of locations and devices
  • Automatic syncing and consistent data handling

This article focuses solely on the technical systems and processes provided by ErgZone, without interpreting or presenting the event organizers' goals.
