Create and Manage a Team for a Virtual Competition
ErgZone allows virtual competitions to include a team component, enabling athletes to compete together. If the competition offers this feature, you’ll have the option to create a team, join an existing one, or manage team member requests during registration. This guide walks you through each step.
Note: This article applies to virtual competitions where all athletes register individually but compete as individuals and as teams.
Each team member completes all events in full, and the team leaderboard is calculated by averaging the members’ performances.

Creating a Team
- Open the ErgZone app.
- Select the competition.
- Tap on the "Registration Details"  
- Scroll to Team
- Tap on the "Create or Join" button.  
- ErgZone lists the available teams.  
- Type the team's name.  
- Tap on the "Create Team" button.
- You will be redirected to the "Registration Details" screen, where the name of your team will be displayed.
- Let your teammates know they can join your team. 
Joining a Team
- Open the ErgZone app.
- Select the competition icon at the top of the screen
- Tap on the "Registration Details" button  
- Scroll to the Team section.
- Tap on the "Create or Join" button.  
- Type the Team's name
- ErgZone will list any available teams that match the name.  
- Click on the "Request access" button.  
- Your request will be marked as "pending approval" until the Team's owner accepts the request.  
Once the request has been approved, you can view the team information on the Registration Details screen.
Approving a Request to Join Your Team
- Open the ErgZone app
- Tap to select the competition
- Tap on the "Registration Details" button
- Tap to approve or reject requests
