Hi everyone,
If you haven’t yet, you will soon have a new update of ErgZone to install. No worries, we did not change the app, but we did add some cool stuff. YAY!
We are launching ErgZone+, the option to unlock premium features with in-app purchases.
Some of our premium features have been available for a while, but we have some additional features that are brand NEW.
Here is a brief description of What is on ErgZone Plus?
Target based on Power, FTP, or SPI (NEW)
Go beyond intervals based on pace.
Now you have the option to set intervals based on power %
Prefer to use Functional Threshold Power (FTP)?
Go to the setting screen to provide your FTP, and the app will calculate your percentages per interval.
Love Stroke Power Index (SPI)? We’ve got you.
ReRow, ReSki, ReRide (NEW)
Want to redo a training session?
Set your target based on the previous performance. You can choose intensity from:
- overall average pace/watts
- intervals average pace/watts
Rate from:
- overall average
- intervals average
- original rate
- open rate
Additional Metrics
You get eleven other metrics.
Here is the list:
- Drive Length
- Max. Power
- Average Force
- Peak Force
- Recovery Ratio
- watts/kg
- FTP% (NEW)
- SPI% (NEW)
- Force Curve (only available for RowErg/SkiErg with PM5 v2 or higher)
- Projected Time (total and per interval).
- Force Efficiency (BETA, only viewed on the Web Admin)
Preferred Metrics (NEW)
ErgZone will automatically display the metrics you used during your last workout, so you don't need to tap the columns multiple times to find your favorite metrics every time you start a new session.
Apple Health Integration (NEW)
ErgZone will automatically send your workouts to Apple Health to track your activities. Note: Heart Rate data will be saved when a heart rate monitor is connected to the PM5.
Create or Join Communities (NEW)
ErgZone+ members can create or join communities.
This is ideal for sharing workouts with friends, cheering on their achievements, and enabling leaderboards for some fun competition without paying for everyone’s access.
FIT WORKOUTS (beta)
Enable FIT in your community to add workouts that don’t involve an erg.
Time Cap & AMRAP
Set a workout as AMRAP, and the app will repeat the intervals until the total time reaches the set Time Cap.
You can set a time cap for any workout.
Graph: Heart Rate & Power
After each training session, ErgZone generates a graph that includes your Heart Rate data (HR) & Power Zones (intensity) per interval/split. The best part is that we add the rest so you can easily view how your HR recovers during rest.
Web Admin
ErgZone+ grants you access to ErgZone Web Admin. It means you can manage your workouts, training schedule, e more on a computer. That is correct; you can use a mouse and keyboard.
We love to open the Live Dashboard on the browser and display it on a big screen such as a TV or projector when we are doing Time Trial, working out with friends, etc.
Also included in this update that is available to everyone:
Rearrange tracks, training plans, and competitions on the top of the screen
You can now remove items from the list or rearrange in which order it is displayed.
As you can see, a lot was going on around here.
